This larger saw-toothed Forstner Bit cuts a 2 7/8″ hole and has a 1/2″ x 6-1/4″ long shank. It is a production tool designed for use on a drill press. This is the bit we recommend for drilling our cedar posts to assemble our cedar log railing packages.
